Will Rockstar release another GTA 6 trailer before December?
The last official GTA VI trailer dropped over 500 days ago, and speculation is growing about the next one

Grand Theft Auto VI is now 62 days from its November 19, 2026 launch, and Rockstar’s marketing machine is already in motion. The game has been delayed twice, first out of fall 2025, then out of May 2026, but the company has kept the November date firmly in place. Kalshi runs a ladder of contracts on when the next official GTA VI trailer drops, and the one asking for a trailer before December 1 trades at 85 cents. To settle “Yes,” Rockstar must publish an official video of at least 30 seconds that it explicitly calls a trailer.
On August 27, Rockstar premiered 27 minutes of GTA VI footage on Netflix under the title “An Extended Look.” The company never labeled it a trailer, so the contract “before September 2026” settled “No”. The last video Rockstar officially called a GTA VI trailer was Trailer 2, released on May 6, 2025, more than 500 days ago.
Rockstar’s history, however, suggests they will release a trailer. The studio has released a launch trailer for every one of its major titles, and it tends to do so late in the cycle.
- Grand Theft Auto V launched on September 17, 2013, and its official launch trailer arrived on August 29, 19 days earlier.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on October 26, 2018, and its launch trailer dropped on October 18, eight days before release.
Mapping this onto November 19 puts the expected trailer window between October 31 and November 11, which is inside the December 1 cutoff.
And traders have already priced that pattern in. A trailer before October 1 costs 8 cents, before November 1 costs 51 cents, and before December 1 costs 85 cents, since the December contract looks like the cleanest way to play this market based on the earlier facts. So, we will be adopting the same view, buying “Yes” at 85 cents to capture a 17.65% return over roughly two months.
