How a 2-month-old top 400 Polymarket whale banked $400,000 with one strategy
A Polymarket wallet has placed more than 14,000 orders since July, and its newest play shows exactly why this whale deserves a spot on your watchlist

Our whale alert fired at 7:38 PM ET on Wednesday when a Polymarket wallet trading as theowalcott placed a $105,693 order on a single Major League Soccer match. The account bought 203,256 shares of Houston Dynamo at 52 cents.
Before the match ended, the same wallet added to the position four more times over the next 13 minutes, buying at 53, 54, and 55 cents and finishing with 392,263 shares that cost $207,924 in total. Houston then beat Real Salt Lake 2–1 on a late goal, and that initial position eventually redeemed for $392,263.
This pattern is typical for theowalcott. Since its first trade on July 22, the wallet has placed 14,007 orders across 115 markets. The median market took 87 separate fills, and one market required a whopping 692. The usual method is to clear the available offers with a single large order, then post a bid a cent underneath and let hundreds of small sellers come to it.
Of the $4.92 million the wallet has staked, $2.11 million went in at prices in the 50s, $1.50 million in the 40s, and $942,000 in the 60s. There is almost nothing above 70 cents and almost nothing below 30. In other words, it does not chase favorites or longshots. It buys coin flips, and it buys them in size.
And looks like this strategy actually works. Rebuilt transaction by transaction, 62 of its 115 markets have paid out, which is a 53.9% hit rate. That has produced $258,189 of trading profit on $9.72 million of volume. His strategy also shows another typical pattern. In the 87 markets where a home side can be identified, 65 are bets on the home team, carrying $3.39 million of the $4.03 million at stake, while the away side accounts for only $637,000.

Given the 53.9% win rate and the enormous number of orders per market, this looks like a trading bot with a small but real edge. For anyone considering copy‑trading, the key is to follow every single trade it takes. With a win rate near 54%, skipping some bets or cherry‑picking would easily leave you stacking losers while missing the winners, turning all the hassle into a long‑run loss.
