Does Rockstar Games delay GTA 6 for a third time?
Rockstar’s last two delays have left some traders skeptical that the current GTA 6 release window will hold without another move

Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially due on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026, and a Kalshi ladder on the release date is pricing in a very high chance, in our opinion, that it won't ship on time. This is because Rockstar has already moved the date twice in the past. First, in May 2025, it pushed the game out of its 2025 window into May 26, 2026, and then, on November 6, 2025, it apologized and shifted it again to November 2026.
The key contract asks whether GTA 6 has been released on a major platform, defined as PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or Windows, by November 30, 2026. “Yes” on that November 30 deadline trades at 89 cents.
What's confusing to us is why there is an 11% chance of delay in the first place, when:
- The launch machinery is already running at full speed
- Pre‑orders opened on June 25 at $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate, in both physical and digital formats, and pre‑loading starts November 12
- Take‑Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told investors in May that fiscal 2027 would set company records “driven by the November 19th launch of Grand Theft Auto VI,” and guided to a 22% rise in net bookings on that basis
- Rockstar aired its Extended Look on August 27, reinforcing the November timeline
Even so, some traders still bet on a delay despite the enormous risks that would create for Rockstar and Take‑Two, including a hit to credibility, pressure on the stock, and wasted marketing spend. We think the 12.36% return available on the “Yes” side of the November contract is being left on the table by “No” traders who are ignoring pure facts.
This contract is one of the few in prediction markets that combines unusually high certainty with a solid and fast payoff, and we are happy to take it in an instant.
