Zcash bulls left a 2x on the table for patient bears
The smartest Zcash trade right now might be buying the outcome everyone laughs at

Zcash trades around $540 today, and on Polymarket's Zcash 2026 price market, nearly all the money is stacked on the upside. A touch of $700 is priced at 64%, $800 at 48%, and $1,000 at 16%. However, at the bottom of the board sits the contract everyone scrolls past, and that's a big mistake. ZEC touching $100 before January 1 is priced at 8 cents.

The key to this trade is understanding what the contract actually asks. It does not ask where Zcash finishes the year, and it does not need ZEC anywhere near $100 for the position to make money. It asks about a touch at any point before January 1, and the price of that contract moves with the market's fear long before the price of the coin moves anywhere close to the strike. Buy the contract at 8 cents, and if the market's estimate climbs to 12, the position returns 50%. At 16, it doubles. Zcash itself could still be trading above $350 while that happens.
What produces that repricing is Bitcoin. When it falls, altcoins typically drop harder. Bitcoin has historically been strong through late July, and in bear-cycle years that late-month push has marked the local top before August and September, the two weakest months on the crypto calendar. That makes the end of July the natural entry window for a Yes $100.
