This undefeated wrestler is paying you 49% on Saturday

Nurullo Aliev walks into Abu Dhabi on Saturday at 11-0, and Polymarket prices him at 67 cents to beat Mike Davis.

The sport belongs to wrestlers, and above all to the post-Soviet ones. Khabib Nurmagomedov retired 29-0. Islam Makhachev has owned the lightweight division. The pipeline running through Dagestan, Russia, and Central Asia keeps producing the same fighter over and over. Someone who takes you down, pins you there, and never lets the bout become the thing you actually do well.

Aliev, the Tajik Eagle, is cut from that cloth. Eight of his 11 wins are decisions, ground out through relentless top control over Joe Solecki, Shem Rock and Rafael Alves. He does not need to finish you. He needs to hold you, and at that he is elite.

Mike Davis is the harder man to talk yourself out of, because on the feet he is the better fighter. He is 12-3, roughly half his wins by knockout, landing close to five significant strikes a minute, with an arm-triangle finish of Natan Levy on his record and a second-round stoppage of Mitch Ramirez last July. He has shared a cage with killers like Gilbert Burns and walked out. If this fight stays standing, Davis is dangerous, and he can end it in a single exchange.

The trouble is his one recurring leak. Davis can be controlled on the mat. Fares Ziam out-grappled him to a decision in February 2025, and Ziam is a lesser wrestler than the one he faces Saturday. A striker only gets to strike while the fight is vertical, and Aliev's entire career is about making sure it isn't.

Buying Aliev at 67 cents pays a full dollar on Saturday, about 49% in four days for backing the most reliable style in the sport. What beats the bet is Davis stuffing takedowns he has never reliably stuffed and keeping a wrestler at range for 15 minutes. Unlikely.
