Does Drake appear on Rockstar's GTA VI album?
Traders bet on a Drake feature in GTA VI's soundtrack, but Rockstar's early reveals tell a different story
A rumor spreading since 2025 has linked rapper Drake to Grand Theft Auto VI, the highly anticipated video game launching on November 19. This is because Rockstar Games, the maker of GTA VI, is releasing an album of new songs recorded for the game. The question is whether Drake appears on that album. On September 17, Rockstar named the artists behind the first six songs, and Drake was not among them. Despite this, Polymarket's market still prices his chances at 48%.
The game features two types of music. Car radios inside the game play mostly existing songs, functioning like real radio stations. The album contains 34 brand-new songs recorded for the game, and a "Yes" bet wins only if Drake is listed as an artist on one of these original tracks.
Drake's entire connection to the game comes from a podcast remark by record producer Jermaine Dupri. Dupri said that when he was asked to work on the game, "they were saying like Drake got his own radio station on Grand Theft Auto." In other words, he was repeating what he claims to have been told about the in-game radio. Neither Rockstar nor Drake has ever confirmed it.
Nothing since has strengthened this link. No Drake song appears in Rockstar's trailers, including a 23-minute preview on Netflix in August. Fans also identified 31 songs in game footage that leaked that month, and none belonged to Drake. No reliable report connects him to the album either.
On September 15, most artists behind the first six songs posted matching artwork from the game, two days before Rockstar officially named them. The roster ranges from rapper Travis Scott to country singer Morgan Wallen and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. With 28 songs still unannounced across many musical styles, even a famous rapper might not make the cut.
Drake's "Yes" price has risen 8 cents in a week, pricing him near a coin flip based on his fame and one secondhand rumor. We think his actual chance is well below that. Therefore, we expect November's full track list to leave him out, since his only link to the game concerns the radio.
