Will Euphoria be the most-searched TV show on Google
Google names the world's most-searched show in December. One show on this board has already won that list once, and it did it the hard way.
Every December, Google publishes a list of what the world searched for that year. One of those lists ranks television shows, and Polymarket runs a market on which show finishes first in 2026.
83 shows are listed on it. Euphoria is the favorite at 26.5%, and nothing else on the board is priced above 8.2%.
The show is an HBO drama about American teenagers, and its real asset is the cast, because two of the most searched people in entertainment are in it. Zendaya plays Rue, the part that has won her two Emmys.
She has five releases this year, which is more than most actors manage in three. A romantic comedy with Robert Pattinson on April 3, Euphoria's third season on April 12, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey on July 17, a Spider-Man film on July 31, and Dune: Part Three on December 18.
Then there is Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie, and whose storyline this season was argued about more than anything else on television. Her character was written into an online subscription business and taken far enough that the show's own audience complained in public and asked for the arc to be dropped.
There is simply no TV show this year that has generated as much buzz as Euphoria. Not to mention, this show has already passed that test once, topping the exact same list in 2022, and it did so with a returning second season.
