There's a way to profit from the next Claude without caring how smart it is or even seeing it at all

Anthropic ships a new Claude Opus roughly every six to eight weeks, and Polymarket's next Claude Opus market is convinced one is about to land. We just don't think it lands today. Released by July 23 sits at 11%, which puts no at 92 cents, and with the day more than half gone and nothing shipped, that is the free money on this board.

Opus 4.8 shipped in late May, the cadence runs six to eight weeks, and late July is exactly where the next one belongs. On July 1 the price on the year-end version of this market jumped from around 50 cents to 93 in a single session, as codename Honeycomb has been leaked. Something is close.
But close is not today, though, and the market says so itself. Anthropic announces its models during working hours, and today's contract runs out at the end of the day with roughly eight hours left as this publishes. The safe money is on the day ending the way it started, with no new model. So, buying no on July 23 at 92 cents is one of the most likely outcomes of the bunch, and it pays about 8.7% by the end of the day.
