A third GTA 6 delay would be Rockstar's first ever surprise
GTA 6 has had three different release dates since its first trailer went out in December 2023, and has been delayed two times

Rockstar Games has moved Grand Theft Auto VI twice, and both times it told everybody a long time in advance. The announcement last November that pushed the game from May 26 to November 19 landed 201 days before the date it was canceled. The one before it, in May 2025, gave more than a year. Today there are 95 days to go, and Polymarket's GTA 6 postponement market charges 9 cents for a third delay. The other side costs 91 cents and pays about 10% by November 19.
Rockstar delays games sometimes. Nobody can argue with that. The question is whether Rockstar kills a date at the last minute. We don't think so.
- Take-Two reaffirmed November 19 in its quarterly report on August 7 and left its guidance alone
- It booked $1.39bn in net bookings for the quarter to June 30, with only 5 days of preorders included
- About 89% of those preorders were for the $100 Ultimate Edition
- Take-Two has guided to $8bn to $8.2bn for a fiscal year built on this one game
- The Netflix showcase premieres August 27, which is 84 days out, against 70 for GTA V and 78 for Red Dead Redemption 2
